Balamie
Internal Power "Balamie"
In Thailand the Buddhist lent retreat occurs during the rainy season and last for 3 months. During this time the Buddhist monks will concentrate in learning and teaching the core of Buddhism to their disciples. That is how it's been done for more that 2400 years.
The history goes as... one morning I went to see this monk to ask him about the power within the body;
This is what the monk told me: "Khun Pedro life and death are a reality that only few can contemplate. You should keep in mind that all living things need to die and leave behind all material things that they had accumulated during his life", the monk reply's "there is only one thing that you can take when you leave this plane of existence....that is called "merit".
"Merit is an accumulation of good actions during your life. Good actions are based in straight practice and good morals. Those actions will conduct the person to see more clear the nature of reality in life". Each being individually is in a different level of power; This power vary according the spiritual practice of the person. Make merit is the first step of the long path of existence. The power of the body comes from your actions, but not just one but the accumulation of many during many lives.
The Internal power of the body in Buddhism is called "Balamie" and it comes from the accumulation of pure merit during three lives.
If the person has achieve "Balamie" already and he keeps practicing with that power properly during three lives then he will achieve a higher level of Balami called "Upa-Balamie".
When the person has reached "Upa-Balamie" and he uses the power to build good things and help others for three more lives he will reach the supreme level of power called "Palamata-Balamie".
A total of 9 lives is what it takes a human to become a "being of light".
The monk looked at me in silence and then smiling he told me; now is time for you to go home.
Today you had learned enough....
